About us

Our Mission

Our mission is thoroughly biblical and is to fulfil our role in the Great Commission provided to us by our Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20). Continued through His church, this means we are to go and make disciples by winning souls to Jesus and equipping them to fulfil their calling and destiny in Jesus Christ.

Our Vision

Our vision, again rooted in Scripture, is for a continual transformation into the likeness of Christ in our personal lives (2 Corinthians 3:18) and in the lives of those whom we come into contact. In turn this will ensure that our community and ultimately our world is transformed.

Child Protection

We take child protection seriously. There is a detained policy in place following recommended good practice. A copy is available for inspection in the church office and is based on the CCPAS model.

All staff working with children are DBS checked.

We believe that everyone is important at Leyland Pentecostal Church, however these are some of the people who serve in more prominent roles.

Testimonies

“It is never too late to accept Jesus.  I was 65 years old when I let Jesus into my heart.  He has saved my soul and forgiven me of my sins.

Before I would swear like a trooper and drink like it was going out of fashion.

Jesus has been with me all my life, but I finally opened the door to let him in.  The best thing I’ve ever done.”

“In October 1999, St John’s church near where we were living, came round the estate with the Jesus video and after watching it, I didn’t believe that Jesus had died on the cross for my sins.  The reason being was that I thought I was a reasonably good person.

After weeks of the Holy Spirit convicting me of all my sins over the years, I watched the Jesus video again and knew what a sinner I was.  I repented, asked God’s forgiveness and gave my heart and life to Jesus on the 29th January 2000.

I used to binge drink when I went out, probably every few months, but Jesus took the desire for drink away instantly and the swearing stopped too.

My christian walk hasn’t always been easy, as we all have different problems to deal with, but Jesus gives me a peace through them, so I do try to focus on Jesus and not the circumstances.

I find a wonderful love and support with my church family.  Pastor Ian preaches the gospel every week and all the other Bible teaching is spot on.  I have a wonderful family and a wonderful church family.  I am doubly blessed and thank God for both of them.”
